Its creditors approved a restricting plan on today’s deadline, after KTM secured a EUR 50 million cash injection from shareholders. This is believed to include Chinese brand CF Moto and India’s Bajaj – although there are rumours BMW may have invested too.

A newspaper in India is claiming Bajaj has paid the whole EUR 50 million, but there is no confirmation on this.

Under the deal, creditors will receive 30% of the money they are owed. To do this, KTM must deposit around EUR 550 million by May 23. Its total debts are around EUR 2 billion.

KTM has already ousted Stefan Pierer as CEO and has cut production and jobs at its HQ in Austria and its subsidiaries around the world. It will move production of more  bikes to Chine and India in a bid to cut costs.

The official info from parent group Pierer Mobility says:

Back on track – KTM AG reorganization plan accepted by creditors

Restructuring plan accepted:
Cash quota of 30%, payable by May 23, 2025

Further fresh capital of around EUR 800 million required

Production will be ramped up again from mid-March 2025

KTM AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of PIERER Mobility AG, filed for court restructuring proceedings with self-administration on November 29, 2024. The aim of the proceedings was to agree a restructuring plan with the creditors within 90 days.

At today’s restructuring plan meeting, the creditors accepted the restructuring plan submitted by KTM AG. It provides for creditors to receive a cash quota of 30% of their claims. This cash quota is to be paid by KTM AG to the restructuring administrator by May 23, 2025.

Gottfried Neumeister, CEO of PIERER Mobility AG: “I am grateful and happy today. KTM is back on track. Our employees have done everything over the last three months to ensure that the race can continue. We have closed an important chapter today. But a single chapter never tells the whole story. Now we can continue the great story of KTM. We do it for the millions of KTM fans worldwide, to whom we are grateful every day. For our racers, of whom we are damn proud. And for our Austrian location, to which we are deeply attached in our hearts. KTM remains one of the top employers in the Upper Austrian industry.”

In order to finance the cash quota and further production, the Group requires fresh capital of around EUR 800 million. Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG (“Citigroup”) was commissioned to support this investment process in a structured, transparent and efficient manner in the interests of all stakeholders

To enable production to be ramped up again gradually from mid-March 2025, KTM AG will be provided with financial resources totaling EUR 50 million from the extended circle of shareholders. The planned full capacity utilization of the four production lines in single-shift operation is to be achieved within three months.

Gabriel SS24 KTM reveals 2025 riders SS24 https://www.motoheadmag.com/gabriel-ss24-ktm-reveals-2025-riders-ss24/ Wed, 11 Sep 2024 19:54:37 +0000 https://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=40965

KTM has solidified and broadened its KTM GP Academy, the structure of which helps promising teenage racing talent make their way into MXGP and the FIM Motocross World Championship. The factory has confirmed agreements for the 2025 season and coming years with Racestore KTM Factory Rookies, Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors and Van Venroy KTM Racing for the tiers of EMX European Championship competition and the route into Grand Prix.

The current 2024 projects with Racestore KTM Factory Rookies and the Gabriel SS24 KTM squads have been making strong headway. Under the watch of former KTM Factory rider Thomas Traversini in the Racestore KTM Factory Rookies set-up Dutch youngster Gyan Doensen leads the EMX125 Championship aboard his KTM 125 SX, winning six motos of 20 this season and with nine top three moto results. Only one round remains while the crew have already bagged domestic titles in Italy and the Netherlands. In 2025, Racestore KTM Factory Rookies will continue their mission in EMX125 with Nicolo Alvisi – their second rider and scorer of three top three results so far in 2024, including his first overall triumph at the Swiss Grand Prix – and Aron Katona, a young Hungarian currently eighth in the 2024 EMX125 contest, on the roster.

In EMX250 – the next step on the European Championship ladder – ex-Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Shaun Simpson has been guiding another Dutch talent, Cas Valk, to a guaranteed top three 2024 result. Cas has taken his KTM 250 SX-F to five of a possible 16 checkered flags and achieved a total of 11 top three classifications. Currently placed in third, Cas is a slender 10 points from P2 with an outside shot of the title with one date on the calendar to go. Gabriel SS24 KTM will become the official Factory Juniors squad, overseeing Gyan Doensen’s graduation to EMX250 piloting the KTM 250 SX-F, and will welcome Maximilian Werner – currently 10th in the EMX250 rankings – into the fold.

Title contention and evolution of riders’ skills and race mentalities have been clear indicators that the programme has been functioning for 2024 and KTM will now add Van Venroy KTM Racing to the organisation for next year for the leap into MX2. Van Venroy KTM Racing will provide Cas Valk with his first full-time taste of FIM MX2 World Championship competition with factory-supported KTM 250 SX-F equipment.

Thomas Traversini, Team Manager, Racestore KTM Factory Rookies: “Our first season has been very positive. We have been fighting for championships in every series we have entered while it has been a learning year for Nicolo and he has developed well despite an injury. A lot of people are talking about him. We started the project last November and it has been non-stop. We are at a good level and I feel positive for the end of 2024 and for the coming year. Both Nicolo and Aron have shown good things. I think our facilities and the way we can help the riders mean we can look towards 2025 in a bright way.”

Shaun Simpson, Team Manager, Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors: “Over the last couple of years we have been trying to build up something successful and filtering through from the British Championship. This has led to Josh Gilbert racing the 2024 MXGP World Championship and then we’re also helping Cas Valk in EMX250. Our progress has really opened my eyes to the importance of EMX250 in the development of younger riders and in having a good team and structure in place so they can potentially pass into the KTM factory race structure. Being part of this journey is important for us as a team and I feel I can give my experience and expertise. It’s great to be a component of the factory Juniors program and I’d like to thank KTM and all the management who have placed trust in myself and Simon Gabriel to do that. As a small team from the UK it’s a dream for us, and we will do the very best we can for KTM, the riders and our sponsors. It’s been an exciting new challenge to focus on the EMX250 title and for 2025 we’ll hope to help the next riders – Gyan and Max – in the same way.”

Klaas Hattem, Team Manager, Van Venroy KTM Racing Team: “First of all we would like to thank KTM for making our return to MXGP in 2025 possible. The plan and structured factory support they have offered really appeals to us and provides fantastic opportunities for the team to help young KTM riders to the next step in their career. The team together with KTM is READY TO RACE into the future.”

Robert Jonas, Vice President OFFROAD Racing: “For this year we took steps in establishing a proper pathway for motocross racing talent and the partners we chose have done a brilliant job, as we can see from the results and the progression of the riders in the popular European Championship pyramid. So, for 2025 it’s exciting to widen the project with the addition of Van Venroy KTM Racing and also expand our objectives with Racestore KTM Factory Rookies and the establishment of Gabriel SS24 KTM Factory Juniors. This means that we can give our current contracted riders a strong route for our mutual goals but also lay out the ladder for the next crop who have a dream of one day racing in Grand Prix with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. I’d like to thank all our partners and the work for 2025 will begin very soon.”

Wraps off 2025 KTM enduro bikes https://www.motoheadmag.com/wraps-off-2025-ktm-enduro-bikes/ Fri, 21 Jun 2024 10:28:29 +0000 https://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=40436 With over three decades at the sharp end of World Enduro Championships – and countless regional titles – the 2025 KTM EXC line-up is set to maintain its domination of enduro competition.

Following 2024’s significant 95% overhaul, the 2025 range continues to use revolutionary closed-cartridge suspension, refined frame and bodywork, and industry-defining technology.

The most notable change is the ‘orange’ makeover. Here, the previous 1990s-inspired purple highlights are replaced by a timeless silver-grey graphic over predominantly orange bodywork and a black frame. The seat remains orange, featuring a high-grip seat cover and textured grip strips, which can also be found on the frame protectors, tank shrouds and bar pad.

At the rear, handling is further refined, thanks to new settings for the WP XPLOR PDS shock, resulting in an improved pressure balance and a lower risk of cavitation. The swingarm also gets an update, with a machined unit to improve the durability of the chain glider.

Upfront, a new and updated fuel tank roll now secures the tank more firmly in place while keeping the frame protected against scrubbing. At the handlebars, a new on/off switch gear is carried over from the KTM SX range.

All models in the range keep the hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frame, which is renowned for its flex parameters, rider feedback and straight-line stability, with a 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork and WP XPLORE PDS taking care of suspension duties.

For the UK market, the 2025 KTM EXC 2-stroke range will consist of the KTM 150 EXC, KTM 250 EXC and KTM 300 EXC. The 4-stroke line-up also remains unchanged, with the dirt ripping KTM 250 EXC-F, KTM 350 EXC-F, KTM 450 EXC-F and KTM 500 EXC-F filling the ranks.

The new 2025 KTM EXC range will be rolling off the Austrian production line in June and available at Authorised KTM Dealers from July. As an introductory offer for the UK market, KTM Finance is offering promotional finance rates across all 2025 EXC models. Ranging from zero to two per cent APR – depending on length of agreement – on Purchase Plan only, this new POWER DEAL is available until 31.07.24. Full price list below.

New frame for £11,500 KTM proddie specials https://www.motoheadmag.com/new-frame-for-11500-ktm-proddie-specials/ Tue, 12 Dec 2023 18:30:19 +0000 https://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=38984 The new 2024 KTM Factory Edition 450 is more than just some fancy bits and graphics as it has a new frame, that is likely to appear on the 2025 production bikes. The limited-edition production machines are released annually so the AMA Supercross teams can use the latest tech when the season kicks off in January. Often this is just bling and bolt-on parts but this is the first time a new frame has been used.

KTM says it is a ‘factory’ frame, which suggests its the chassis the GP riders have been using. When Tony Cairoli went to to race the AMA Nationals in 2022, he had to use the stock frame rather than the chassis he’d been used to. It seems this is now ready for production.

“The special new chassis is a key focus. Varied wall thickness and cutaway sections enhance flexibility whilst simultaneously reducing weight. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing adheres to this philosophy, consistently winning races and setting records at the highest level. The chassis strategically repositions rotating mass toward the centre of gravity, improving traction out of corners with enhanced anti-squat behaviour,” says the official press release.

New GPS holder is stock

There is also a new GPS-based electronic system developed by Lit. The info states in full:

The KTM SX-F FACTORY EDITION formula remains the same: a highly evolved and modified spec of the current production model, orientated towards pure performance. The upgrades have been tried, tested and selected through use in competition. In short, what our Factory guys race, you race.

KTM knows that being READY TO RACE means more than just hot numbers from the dyno or odometer. The KTM SX-F FACTORY EDITION has distinction and style, and that’s why aesthetic is important. As an example, a KTM SX-F FACTORY EDITION can be easily identified thanks to the orange powder-coated frame, a feature typically reserved for our ‘works’ machinery.

So what does the new KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION have in store? First of all, the Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) is an important new addition. This two-part system is mounted between the right fork leg – protected by the new shape of the number board – with the GPS component fixed onto the redesigned front fender. The Connectivity Unit Offroad enables a wealth of easily adjustable options for engine behaviour and suspension settings via the KTMConnect App. Essentially, it opens up numerous new customisation options and the ability to personalise preferences for a KTM offroad machine, without needing external specialised help. But that’s not all. An official affiliation with LitPro will empower riders to examine their lines, speed, gearing and a lot of other information to make their lap times hit the mark, all through the versatile app.

Additionally, the special new chassis is a key focus. Varied wall thickness and cutaway sections enhance flexibility whilst simultaneously reducing weight. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing adheres to this philosophy, consistently winning races and setting records at the highest level. The chassis strategically repositions rotating mass toward the centre of gravity, improving traction out of corners with enhanced anti-squat behaviour. Both bikes feature handling adjustments, such as CNC-milled, orange anodised, rubber-damped triple clamps made from high-grade aluminium.

Feeling and function are improved even further by other 2024 KTM SX-F FACTORY EDITION specifications. Fully adjustable and tool-free WP Suspension lets you count on 310 mm of travel with the 48 mm WP XACT front fork with AER technology and redesigned protection rings, while the WP FACTORY START DEVICE will help with those crucial starts. The rear shock has new low-friction linkage seals and the 2024 KTM SX-F FACTORY EDITION linkage settings have been reworked for optimal weight saving and stiffness. The linkage bolt is smaller, lighter and taken directly from bikes successfully used by the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team.

The 2024 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION engine tops the charts at just 26.8 kg and is further boosted by a lightweight titanium Akrapovic slip-on exhaust that shaves weight and increases power, while the unit breathes more freely with its updated air intake sleeve and snorkel for the Twin Air filter.

The depth is in the detail for this READY TO RACE machine. New tank spoilers lead to improved cooling and a new fuel tank holder to better frame contact, orange FACTORY frame protectors heighten grip, while the four-screw carbon reinforced FACTORY skid plate and the billet HINSON clutch cover are all parts capable of withstanding the toughest of hits.

Grey ODI grips look as good as they perform and further improvements for 2024 involve high strength DID wheel sets with orange CMC machined hubs (harder for the bigger, fast jumps), Golden Chain and Dunlop GEOMAX MX34 tyres. The MX34 has a new carcass material for better damping and absorption, allowing better performance for longer – up to 30 per cent compared to the previous model.

Slide the 2024 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to a stop with a stiffer, tougher rear brake pedal that will pull the full power of the Brembo systems into play. Braking force is amplified by the semi-floating 260 mm front brake disc and a carbon reinforced FACTORY brake guard.

The FACTORY ribbed seat, orange rear sprocket and the unforgettable RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING graphics sets this model apart from the rest. The 2024 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION comes equipped with a selection of #4 and #7 for riders choosing to support Chase Sexton or Aaron Plessinger next season. As reigning champion for 2024, Sexton will strap the #1 onto his bike for AMA Supercross season.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s new star has already personally signed a unique 2024 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION after watching these very bikes being built on the assembly line on his first visit to the factory. In honour of Chase joining the conquering race team, one lucky owner at random will receive the signed #1 2024 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION.

KTM shows Factory Edition 450 https://www.motoheadmag.com/ktm-shows-factory-edition-450/ Wed, 07 Dec 2022 14:09:18 +0000 http://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=36446 The 2023 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION is a fully optimised and race-ready sculpture of the current KTM 450 SX-F that created a fresh standard in the industry for handling, power, engineering and competitiveness upon its presentation during the summer of 2022. The SOHC 4-stroke engine delivers a knockout 68 hp and weighs less than 27 kg. The motor oozes usable torque from every square centimetre and is harnessed through launch control, a Quickshifter, two maps, a redesigned airbox, exhaust system and a series of other modifications befitting a motorcycle expected to fight for title success.

The altered ergonomics have improved the rider ‘triangle’ for tight centralisation and enhanced feeling. The innovative ‘anti-squat’ concept of the frame and chassis (with reinforced aluminum subframe) compliments the revised engine position for increased centralisation. The whole bike is augmented with cutting-edge hardware from WP Suspension and the forks and rear shock can be adjusted easier than ever thanks to the tool-free configuration. The suspension benefits from refined settings, which have been mined from all the R&D work and data sourced from Motorsports.

The new generation of KTM SX-Fs blasted out of gates and straight into contention during 2022. Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin were both searching for AMA 450SX podiums and victories while the KTM 250 SX-F saw the quarter-liter incarnation immediately racking up Grand Prix wins and ultimately the 2022 MX2 world title with Tom Vialle; who now takes the bike into AMA 250SX Supercross for ’23.

For the 2023 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, KTM has applied a litany of KTM PowerParts to boost the function, the aesthetics and the exclusivity of the model. The bike is immediately distinctive due to the orange frame and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing graphics set. These details define the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION on any track or trail. Elsewhere the orange factory racing seat, wheels, triple clamp, carbon skid plate, carbon front brake disc and guard come with an Akrapovič slip-on exhaust kit, Hinson clutch cover, WP start device and ODI lock on grip set among other additions.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will soon roll into action. The stadium lights will flick on and illuminate the 2023 AMA Supercross season from January 7 at the Angel Stadium, Anaheim in California, before visiting 12 states for 17 rounds and then wading into the three-race spectacle that is the inaugural SuperMotocross contest in October. Those riding and racing the 2023 KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION might not reach the speed or skill of Musquin, Webb, Aaron Plessinger or Vialle but they can look the part and reach the nearest performance specs to nudge nearer to the dream.

KTM unveils full 2023 MX range https://www.motoheadmag.com/ktm-unveils-full-2023-mx-range/ Tue, 10 May 2022 16:11:22 +0000 http://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=34757 Eight premier class FIM MXGP World Championships in 12 years. Over 300 MXGP and MX2 victories since 2004. Five of the last eight AMA 450SX Supercross titles. Cairoli, Dungey, Herlings, Musquin, Prado, Webb, Vialle and more. The track is our treat. At KTM we still have the widest and most outstanding motocross range to be found on any circuit or in any dealership.

How do you better dominance?

Like any champion racer we search every single corner for gains, for performance and for perfection The 2023 KTM SXs will reshape the market as well as riders’ expectations. We haven’t changed our approach for outright excellence, so that means we’ve changed quite a bit for 2023.

We still have 12 models that scale from electric learner bikes through to two-stroke minicycles (50, 65, 85cc) to larger two-stroke thrillers at 125, 250 and 300cc capacity. The KTM SX-Fs consist of 250, 350 and 450 four-strokes. A potential AMA 450SX winner or MXGP world champion can grow in orange from his or her first metres on the dirt right up until those last few corners as a winner at the very highest level. So, we have the bikes but why jump into the family? Why embrace the KTM DNA? Well, the KTM SXs are the most powerful in each class and have the finest components. They are the most race focused.

Racing enables us to empower you. The 2023 KTM SXs are sleeker, slimmer, more controllable and the most desirable. They our best expression of the ultimate motocross race so we’re ready for when you want to get really serious.

Behind the gate: Preparation and equipment

We are market leaders with the use of cutting-edge ideas and technology throughout our motorcycle portfolio and the 2023 KTM SXs are primed. Partnerships with companies such as KEIHIN, PANKL, and Brembo means performance possibilities have expanded. The 2023 KTM SX range will count on two maps (one standard, softer and linear power and another for a more aggressive response), launch control*, traction control*, a roll-over sensor for large crashes, an hourmeter as standard with electronic fuel injection status and a fuel indicator through the Keihin engine management system. Other preparatory steps come through the tool-free adjustments now possible with the latest spec WP Suspension engineering. New 7.2 litre polythene fuel tanks can be filled (feeding into the protected one-piece fuel pump and filter) and a quick spin of the Excel alloy wheel rims is quicker and easier to check thanks to the fresh spoke nipple design. You’re READY TO RACE.

Gate-drop and surging into action

Fired up with the electric starter (on all models) KTM SXs hammer along the straight and into the corners and jumps with aplomb. Our engine packages are more compact, more durable, more serviceable and offer the best power-to-weight ratio across the board.

New cylinder heads translates into performance gains but rearwards rotation of the engines by 2 degrees has given better centralization and a more profound effect for the chassis concept. Brand new 5-speed PANKL Racing Systems transmissions with an additional sensor for the four-strokes mean that up-shifts (from 2nd gear onwards) are slicker thanks to the Quickshifter function. The Quickshifter can be disabled with a switch on the handlebar but a weight-optimised shift shaft in the transmission itself means that the operating force of the change is now less and, therefore, easier. A Brembo hydraulic clutch ensures top-of-the-range dependability whatever the conditions.

With our 2-strokes, less carbs = more muscle. We’ve graced our KTM SXs with a new electronic fuel injection to ensure simplicity, enjoyment and uniqueness. Therefore, the SXs get a new 39mm throttle body with injectors positioned for pinpoint response. A ‘remix to the premix’ counts on a TPS-sensor for better behavior while idle and for the fuel-air mixture (not forgetting the cold start mechanism which is the same as the KTM SX-Fs). The effect is more: more power, more response, more assurance, more ease, more fun.

Finding the flow then attack the track

The demands of competition, fitness and the track set the tone for any moto. It’s in the depths of this hard, physical stage of a race when the connection and feeling with any motorcycle can make the difference and fully harness the excitement and fulfilment. We’ve taken our chassis and frame design principles back to the core and have sought better dynamics, stability and strength. Longitudinal rigidity is a key phrase and with accentuated rider feeling coming through an anti-squat philosophy. This has been achieved by a new frame and mounts, subframe, swingarm, engine repositioning, ergonomics and WP Suspension tech.

The frame is hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded. the wall thickness has been optimised to achieve improved rigidity in specific high stress areas such as the steering head and all new shock mounts. The KTM SX two-strokes have new parallel frame mounts. The design is sportier with sights on extra agility; an example comes through the new inwardly moved footpegs for even greater clearance in ruts and for dropping the bike flat for scrubs. New footpegs are even larger in surface area, even if the die casting means they are lighter than before. Stiffness has been dialed with lighter die cast hollow swingarms (new casting processes allow for even more weight saving) and a new rear axle.

The WP Suspension XACT shock is shorter and lighter. The internal flow of liquids is more flush, reliable and resistant, and the shock’s smaller dimensions lower the chances of pollutants and dirt intrusion. The shape permits higher ground clearance with the linkage and advanced damping means better traction as the bike swallows the bumps with the new geometry setting. Entering corners or landing jumps, any KTM SX can take full profit from WP XACT forks with AER air technology featuring a new hydrostop for more effective performance and more bottoming resistance.

The 2023 KTM SXs are narrower and honed, but we have managed to increase contact area and surfaces to allow even more input into the handling of the bike. The flat orange seat – offering excellent grip and  greater control – and the reworked front fender are other identifiable marks. The mud flaps of the fender prevents excessive dirt being flicked up towards the rider and the radiator in particularly wet conditions.

Finishing the moto strong

You’ve gone faster and longer than ever, but any Pro racer will tell you that the last two or three laps of any moto are key. This is where the versatility and usability of the new KTM SXs are further fortes. The rate of energy absorption is high thanks to the forgiving chassis and other components such as the fresh CNC milled triple clamps with optimised bar mounts and wider grip surface area. This leads to less handlebar twist. The whole unit is protected by a new number plate design. The subframe is now a finely engineered hybrid thanks to polyamide reinforced aluminum, applying strength into the lower part of the frame and extending flexibility for control and comfort in upper sections. The subframe has been designed with advanced finite element analysis and weighs less than two kilos.

Count on the last centimetres of traction and performance provided by the Dunlop GEOMAX MX33 tires; chosen for the 2023 KTM SX line-up after a careful testing and selection process.

Once across the finish line it will be time to recover, to reset and to think about the next outing. At this point riders will consider mods and this is when accompanying KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear will have you covered. Riding gear, protection, extra parts and much more can be found and have been especially crafted for our 2023 KTM SX incarnations.

Welcome to the future. But don’t just take our word for it, watch out for a very special and exclusive video series on KTM digital channels to further breakdown the 2023 KTM SX range.

KTM’s new-look 2023 enduro range https://www.motoheadmag.com/ktms-new-look-2023-enduro-range/ Tue, 26 Apr 2022 09:27:18 +0000 http://www.motoheadmag.com/?p=34499 KTM has dominated Enduro competition for a number of decades, with the newest iteration of the 2023 KTM EXC and EXC-F models set to continue the trend. Boasting an updated design, orange-coated Chromoly steel frame, race-proven WP XPLOR suspension at each end, and real READY TO RACE credentials, the 2023 KTM Enduro range is the one to beat.

Offering the most extensive READY TO RACE competition Enduro lineup on the market, starting with the enduro underdog KTM 150 EXC 2-Stroke and topping out with the class-leading power KTM 500 EXC-F 4-Stroke, the 2023 KTM Enduro range caters to all riders and terrains.

New for 2023, an all-new graphic design and white, purple and orange colour scheme come together into a seamlessly blended palette. This colour scheme was specifically chosen by the designers to pay homage to the early ‘90s enduro models, setting the 2023 KTM Enduro range apart from anything else on the trails.

The looks are further emphasised with the use of a race-inspired orange-coated Chromoly steel frame. Not only does this echo the styling on full-factory race machines but provides the perfect backbone to set off the 2023 graphics pack.

In terms of engines, the 2-Stroke model range once again takes its place and is the leader in the paddock, making use of KTM’s patented Transfer Port Injection (TPI) technology. Not only has this ensured fewer emissions and fuel consumption but provides smooth and strong power delivery from the bottom right through to the top end of the rev-range.

The 4-Stroke model range provides the most concise offering of models, starting with the KTM 250 EXC-F and KTM 350 EXC-F and topping out with the powerhouses KTM 450 EXC-F and KTM 500 EXC-F. All models in the 4-Stroke range benefit from class-winning engines, engineered to deliver massive torque down low with class-leading power delivery at higher RPMs.

These are flanked by the ever-popular KTM EXC SIX DAYS range, which offers a special tribute to the upcoming 2022 FIM International Six Days Enduro in France, combining the very latest in innovation with an extensive list of race-derived parts as standard.

Every motorcycle in the range gets fully adjustable WP XPLOR suspension as standard, with the advantage of a Progressive Damping System (PDS) on the rear. The PDS layout – a staple across KTM EXC and EXC-F models, offers lower maintenance due to fewer moving parts, but provides more ground clearance, with less chance of hooking up when climbing logs or rocks.

As always, and thanks to KTM’s global network of dealers, the availability of support and parts needed to compete at the highest level are easily accessible, with the added availability of dedicated KTM PowerWear and KTM PowerParts designed to allow for the highest levels of performance, protection, and mobility for all offroad riders and racers.

The 2023 KTM Enduro range is derived from years at the top level of offroad racing and brings together a dynamic combination of race-bred performance, ergonomics and technology ready to tackle any terrain.

2023 KTM EXC and EXC-F models will be landing at dealer floors from May 2022.
